Holographic Technology

When it comes to experiential marketing, there are several technologies available to grab the audience's attention, make them curious, and get them to interact with a product or a service. But as the market grows and the competition increases, brands seek new ways to connect with their audience. And one of the best ways to immediately get the audience to check out your product is by presenting it using Holographic Technology.

What is Holographic Technology?

Holographic technology can be considered an advanced visualization technique that takes regular 2D content and creates an illusion and presents it as something three-dimensional within a confined physical space. What separates this technology from usual display methods is that conventional screens make use of flat displays; as such, the content comes across as two-dimensional. However, with Holographic technology, different techniques are used, such as projection, light, display, and 3D rendering, to create depth and give life to the content while improving the audience's viewing experience.

What Kind of Holographic Technology Solutions do Businesses Use

Since there are several different kinds of Holographic technologies, there isn't a single one-size-fits-all solution that every brand can use. The type of holographic technology a brand will use depends on various factors like the type of project, the target audience, engagement objectives, and more. Some of the common solutions include:

  • Holographic Displays
  • Holographic Fans
  • Holotubes
  • Holographic Projection Systems
  • Interactive Holograms
  • 3D Holographic Installations

Some other advanced solutions can even combine the above technologies with AI, motion sensors and tracking, IoT, and more to create more dynamic experiences. Once a solution is selected, it can be used to showcase products, display complex information, or deliver immersive brand experiences.

Why More Businesses are Starting to Use Holographic Technology

As per the "Holographic Display Market Size, Share, and Industry Analysis" report by Fortune Business Insights for 2026, "The global holographic display market size was valued at USD 4.31 billion in 2025. The market is projected to grow from USD 5.42 billion in 2026 to USD 33.36 billion by 2034, exhibiting a CAGR of 25.52% during the forecast period."

Additionally, they also noted that "Another key trend shaping the Holographic Display Market is the growing adoption across healthcare, education, and retail sectors for experiential engagement. Medical institutions are using holographic displays for anatomical visualization, surgical planning, and training simulations, while enterprises in retail and advertising are leveraging holographic display systems for interactive brand communication."

All of the above research indicates that more and more businesses are realizing the growth potential when using holographic technology. Be it for education or entertainment, holographic technology has several applications, and when used right, they can give the target audience an unparalleled experience resulting in better brand recall.

How Holographic Technology Helped Our Clients

Interactive experience with holoboz at ai impact

The 2026 India AI Impact Summit was a major event that allowed India to showcase its technological capability and ambition on the world stage. One of the many objectives of this event was to make AI tangible and not just theoretical for the average audience and build India's first AI-led broadcast showcase. We had several installations to deliver on that, like the interactive rotoscopic wall, immersive room, and swipe and share kiosk. But one of the main attraction points was the HoloTube installation.

The event featured two custom holograms that were built for a cylindrical display interface. One tube represented Arjun, and the other represented Krishna. They would share teachings from the Bhagavad Gita in Hindi, English, and Sanskrit. Motion capture technology was used to capture the characters' movements and expressions. The whole thing was created on a custom Unity-based engine, and the installation was synced wirelessly using iPads.

The installation was a success and resulted in:

  • Holotube installation was a hit with the audience as 200+ global media houses covered it.
  • The zone also attracted over 5 lakh onsite visitors and 9 lakh views online with organic shares.
  • PM Narendra Modi spent nearly 22 minutes at the pavilion, personally checking out the experience, making it one of the longest engagements at the summit.

Holographic AI Assistant Nova - Deloitte (Retail)

For its Dot Hub AI Experience Center, Deloitte wanted to show that it is one of the leading brands when it comes to cutting-edge technology and innovation. To achieve this, they installed an Object Recognition Table (ORT) while also giving customers the ability to talk to their AI Virtual Assistant, which they could access from a futuristic transparent OLED HoloBox.

Here, the ORT allowed customers to place an object on the table, which it would then recognize and give them information about what was placed. It even let customers customize the object as per their liking before being able to place an order from the table itself.

The next attraction here was the OLED HoloBox with Nova. She was capable of showing realistic facial expressions, having analytics-driven conversations with the customers, and giving them personalized suggestions. The best part was that with Nova present, customers had double the options when it came to their interactions. They could either choose to talk with a human salesperson, or if someone wasn't available, they could always talk to Nova.

The Experience Center was a success for Deloitte and resulted in:

  • 17,00,000+ global visitors
  • 50,000+ AI interactions

What Industries can Benefit from Holographic Technology?

01

Retail

The retail industry can benefit from Holographic technology by presenting immersive product displays or virtual mascots of the brand to increase customer engagement. It helps deliver information about the product in a way that ensures that it has the customers' attention. All of it results in the customers' increased dwell time, creates a stronger brand recall, and gives potential buyers a better understanding of the product.

Aside from that, as seen in the above example, holographic technology could also be used to deploy virtual AI assistants. This would improve the customer experience when it comes to support, as AI assistants would be readily available to solve any of their queries, while human sales assistants could help out with more urgent or technical issues.

Real Estate

Holographic technology can be used in the real estate sector to market properties better. They provide a unique way to showcase architectural designs, floor plans, notable property features, and more as immersive 3D visualizations. The main purpose of using these over traditional video tours is that they can give buyers a clear picture of the project and what the developer's vision is.

Additionally, it could also be used to show a property's interiors, exteriors, amenities, and how the building connects to the neighborhood and important landmarks. It makes pitching the units easier for the sales team as they can spend more time answering technical questions or helping buyers decide between the different unit options, as most of their concerns about the property will already be answered through the holograms. When the buyer is confident about your project, it leads to shorter sales cycles and faster lead conversions.

Live Events & Trade Shows

During any live event or trade show, the one thing that every brand strives for is to stand out from the crowd and grab the audience's attention. This is the exact case scenario where Holographic Technology gets to shine. Be it doing product demos, 3D presentations, or setting up virtual brand ambassadors, this technology is capable of delivering it in a way that the audience has something to remember.

Additionally, when paired with interactive technology, these holograms can keep the customers engaged while also providing them information about the product. All of this results in increased dwell time, better brand recall, and organic growth since people would share the experience on social media with their friends. As such, the brand doesn't have to spend on ad campaigns as people learn about them or their product through word-of-mouth.

Healthcare

The healthcare industry can greatly benefit from Holographic technology by taking complex medical concepts and using holograms to make them easier to not only visualize but also understand. Doctors and health professionals could use 3D holographic models of organs and anatomical structures to better educate students who are planning to specialize in specific fields. The main advantage of using holograms is that it results in students and interns being more engaged in the training and thus can learn faster and be more confident in the topics they studied.

Entertainment

Entertainment is an industry that has much to gain and little to lose when it comes to incorporating holographic technology. The common theme in this sector is to capture the audience's curiosity, deliver an immersive storytelling experience, and keep them engaged. One of the interesting ways artists could use holographic technology is to create projections of their performances during concerts. Similarly, 3D virtual characters can be installed at theme parks and arcades.
