How Interactive Tech Is Changing Customer Experiences

One of the biggest challenges a brand, no matter its size, faces is how to keep the customer engaged. Over the last decade, technology has evolved a lot. Today, businesses aren't just using it to market their products or services; they are looking for ways to engage with their audience. This is where interactive tech comes in, as these technologies don't just provide information. They present it in such a way that the customer becomes active participants instead of staying observers.

What is Interactive Tech?

What Is Interactive Technology

Interactive tech or interactive technology is any "technology" that allows users to engage or "interact" with a digital or virtual object, system, or environment. What separates this tech from something traditional like a physical brochure or a basic TV screen with a video playing is that it allows the users to participate. As such, the customer is no longer just a viewer. They get the chance to explore the product or service in a more meaningful way.

The experiences created from Interactive Tech often make use of the following technologies:

In the end, it doesn't matter what technology the brand uses; if the audience or customers are engaged and actively participating, the interactive tech experience can be considered a success.

Why Interactive Technology is More Important Today than Ever

Why Interactive Tech Matters

No matter who your target audience is, with the growth in short-form content, the attention span of today's customer isn't what it used to be. Nowadays, just having a catchy ad or quirky catchphrase isn't enough. Businesses need to give their customers an experience that is memorable while also being engaging to let them be inquisitive about their products or services. Interactive techs help out the brand by:

  • Increasing audience engagement
  • Improving brand recall
  • Enhancing the customer's understanding of products and services
  • Encouraging the audience to actively participate and explore
  • Giving important data about users' behavioural patterns

Different Industries that Use Interactive Tech

Industries that use Interactive Technology

Since Interactive tech offers a variety of technologies, industries across the board are using it to increase customer engagement and to give them a memorable experience. For example, retail brands can use interactive tech for virtual try-ons, giving the customers a chance to get an idea of what using their products would feel like.

Educational institutions can make use of smart boards for interactive games or quizzes to keep the students more engaged while keeping the learning experience fun.

The healthcare industry can use interactive tech to create simulations that better help explain operations or other medical procedures to doctors in training or patients. Some other industries that benefit from interactive technology include:

How Live Events Benefit from Interactive Technologies

Benefits of Interactive Tech for Live Events

Live events are one of the many sectors that possibly benefit the most from interactive tech, as this is where audience engagement matters a lot. For example, brands can offer Virtual Reality experiences that allow the visitor to explore a product or an environment completely virtually via using a VR headset or through software. This is beneficial for everyone because the audience who gets to try out the VR gets a futuristic and memorable experience, while the brand gets useful data about how they interact with the experience.

Similarly, other experiences can be created, like polling systems, AR applications, and gamified challenges to allow real-time and increased interaction during conferences and presentations. Overall, it leaves a better impression on the audience because the event becomes lively, due to customers actively participating instead of being simple bystanders.

How Our Clients Found Interactive Tech Useful

How our clients benefited from Interactive Tech

Amazon - Smbhav 2025

For the Smbhav 2025, Amazon wanted to showcase how their shipping services solve logistic challenges across freight, cargo, and final delivery. And to make it interesting, they wanted a gamified experience. This led to the development of a three‑level game to represent the three core stages of Amazon Shipping: air, transit, and last‑mile. Here is how each layer worked:

  • Layer 1 - Flight (Air): The player controls a plane or parcel, where power-ups give you points, and clouds or other hazards deduct points.
  • Layer 2 - Truck (Transit): The player drives a truck to collect parcels falling from the sky. Every collected parcel gives the player 1 point.
  • Layer 3 - Maze (Final delivery): The player controls a delivery partner to deliver the parcel to the recipient’s house.

The event was a success as it resulted in:

  • 200-250 participants ended up completing the game.
  • 2-3 minute play sessions allowed high rotation, giving more players a chance to try out the game.
  • Dropout recorded was exceptionally low, especially for a live event.

HDFC Securities - Scam 2025 Initiative

HDFC Securities wanted to spread awareness that scammers are increasingly becoming more conniving. As such, to drive the point home, they partnered with us, Ink In Caps, to build a MetaHuman avatar of actor Manoj Pahwa whose goal was to scam the audience in real-time.

The MetaHuman used a push-to-talk microphone to capture a user's speech and convert it to text. The AI would then process it and generate a response that would try to scam the user while making sense in the context of the conversation. However, the most impressive feature of this avatar was how its responses were animated onto the MetaHuman within sub-500ms latency using an RTX 5090 pipeline.

The event had outstanding results, such as:

  • 2,000+ total interactions across 3 days.
  • 100% of the sessions ended with a digital CTA.

To conclude, Interactive Tech is a powerful tool that more and more businesses are starting to adopt. Be it for live events, brand activations, or just to provide immersive digital experiences to their customers. Brands are taking the approach of increasing audience engagement to connect with them better.
