Objective

iPad-controlled music visualizer for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza launch.

For the Suzuki Brezza 2026, Maruti upgraded the latest model with a brand new Turbo Boosterjet engine and a music system that offers a surround sound experience that people have never had before. This car is made for working professionals and party goers alike, where the former could experience the power of the Turbo Boosterjet engine at zone 1, and the latter could get the taste of the new surround sound system at zone 2. Thus, they teamed up with us to come up with a solution that not only showcases these features but also delivers the audience an immersive experience throughout their journey.

Technical Implementation

Turbo Boosterjet Engine: For the first zone, we configured a pedal accelerator with an Arduino to sense the pressure the user is pushing the pedal with. It was connected to a fan, the L-shaped-LED walls, and the floor LED display. A Custom Unity engine was used to send commands based on the pressure to control the fan's speed, the acceleration effects, the speedometer, and the speed at which the cityscape and skylines moved. During the initial test runs, the fan wasn't reacting to the pressure and would only work at two speeds; it had to be reconfigured, and the entire system was synced with the LED displays to ensure that the fan's speed and the visual effects matched the pressure on the pedal.

Music Surround Sound System: For the second zone, we used two Unity-based software applications, one for the visualizer and the other for the iPad. The 4 visualizers worked by recognizing the frequencies of the music that was playing and changing their designs. While, iPad application was used to play the songs from the Maruti Brezza. The songs were synced with the visualizer software that was connected to a grandMA console to control the floor lights.
