Nexa
Gesture recognition technology
Vh1 Supersonic, India's premier multi-genre festival, returned for its 9th edition, promising an electrifying lineup of artists. Nexa, a sponsor of the event, sought to create an immersive experience at their stall to enhance attendee engagement. Nexa desired to stand out at the Super Sonic Event. While initially considering a traditional photo booth or Dance Mania setup, they sought a more innovative approach to capture attendees' in this 3-day event attention and leave a lasting impression.
1000+ participants engaged in the "Groove with Nexa" activity.
Over 7 hours of combined participation time demonstrated sustained interest.
In collaboration with Communique, we conceptualized and executed an experiential activity for Nexa called "Groove with Nexa" Departing from the conventional Dance Mania idea, we introduced a dance-off concept where participants would dance alongside NEXA's astronaut. This interactive experience aimed to merge physical movement with digital engagement and encourage social media sharing.
The "Groove with Nexa" activity incorporated gesture recognition technology, allowing participants to mirror the movements of their personalized astronaut avatars. Upon initiating the activity, participants danced for 30 seconds while their avatar mimicked their every move. Following the dance session, a QR-generated GIF featuring the participant and their avatar was provided for social media sharing, accompanied by the #groovewithnexa.
The "Groove with Nexa" activation proved to be a hit at the Vh1 Supersonic Event, with over 1000 attendees immersing themselves in the experience. Attendees spent more than 7 hours collectively engaging with the activity, showcasing its popularity and success. The astronaut avatar emerged as a major highlight of the event, captivating attendees and reinforcing Nexa's commitment to innovation.
