Metaverse Facebook’s futuristic tech is now making waves in
India after IIC, an experiential marketing firm in Mumbai, India
used the technology to create a new web series named RUDRA,
starring Ajay Devgn. The new breakthrough technology was also
used to initiate a press conference between the reporters and
Devgn who was stationed in another location. Headed by Mr.
Manish Kakkar, Technical director and Managing Partner, the
entire team of IIC set out to decipher, design and deliver for
the FIRST TIME, impeccably created AVATARs of Ajay Devgn, Esha
Deol and Rashi Khanna, who are in the lead roles.
There was a flurry of activity at IIC’s studios when the novelty
first arrived. The team sat together to brainstorm and
exhaustively study the technology before creating life-like
Avatars that completely resembled the stars, besides the
surrounding environment that perfectly blended the physical with
the virtual The highly unique methodology and design process was
used by IIC first, to create experiences that are meant to stun
the audience. Merging, breaking down and augmenting the physical
reality with the digital, IIC allows users to enter and interact
with the RUDRAVERSE in various ways. Explaining the entire
process Mr. Manish said, “We had to study the synopsis
repeatedly, and browse through hundreds of images before we
could arrive at what people would really identify with…” It was
a trying time for employees who had to scurry through several
storyboards, understand the elements that formed the crime drama
and then arrive at a concrete framework that would set the stage
for RUDRA. “Some of the latest technologies like Blender,
Substance Painter and Unity Pipeline were used to optimise the
assets and retain the highest quality for the final version of
the Meta... “, Mr. Manish commented.
The core interactions were the toughest to create, involving the
trailer, behind the scenes, the music, and the history board.
Every detail captured with utmost precision, elements were
repurposed to fit three-dimensionally to fit into the room.
IIC’s Khushboo Jain said, “Our technologists studied several
images and videos before they could replicate Ajay Devgn’s
avatar..” Four other avatars were created for media personnel
who interacted with Devgn in real time on the verse for a round
of questioning. It was an overwhelming experience for them too.
The team’s relentless hard work and synergy brought to
perfection complex multi-user interaction, while also capturing
natural body movements which formed the very basis of the
experience. The results are magical and unforgettable. Ink In
Caps flouts an additional feather in its cap as they become the
first technology company to build the Metaverse space for RUDRA
